From request to seal
Your profile decides which steps apply. Hollow steps are for some profiles only.
Request
Pick your profile, describe the claim and upload your evidence.
Certification body check
Profiles 01 and 02
Your certification body validates the request and sends it on to RTRS.
RTRS review
The RTRS Secretariat checks your request and evidence, then moves it forward or sends it back for changes.
Signature
Profiles 01 to 04
Sign the Trademark License Agreement online with DocuSign. Your certificate ID is printed on it.
Approval and artwork
Once RTRS approves and activates your licence, download the seal in SVG, PNG and PDF. Promoters and media receive the logo with usage guidelines.
Public licence register
Check a seal
Seen an RTRS seal on a product? Enter the certificate ID printed on it to see whether its licence is valid and who holds it.
Scanning the QR code on a seal opens the same check. Open the seal check
What the check tells you
When the ID is in the register, the result names the holder, shows the licence term and, for a valid licence, the seal as licensed, to compare with the one on the product.
Valid licence
The licence is in force. Check that the holder named matches the product.
Licence revoked
RTRS withdrew the licence. The product should no longer carry the seal.
Expired or not in force
The licence term has ended or hasn't started. The seal isn't authorized right now.
Not in the register
No licence matches the ID. Compare it with the seal character by character.
